THE LIVER CIRCLE PRESENTS

BURDEN OF GENIUS
THE START OF A REVOLUTION
The Liver Circle presents Burden of Genius, a documentary about Dr. Thomas Starzl’s pioneering transplant work, followed by a live panel discussion and Q&A for Liver Awareness Month and Liver Cancer Awareness Month.
Dr. Thomas Starzl’s determination helped transform organ transplantation from an experimental idea into a life-saving field of medicine. Many of us are alive today because of the advances he pioneered—and because generations of transplant surgeons, physicians, nurses, coordinators, and researchers were able to build upon his work.
This documentary honors the innovation, persistence and teamwork that made modern transplantation possible.

THE LIVER CIRCLE
A LIVER DISEASE DIAGNOSIS ISN'T A DEAD END...

With the right knowledge and support, no one has to face this journey alone.
This is the world The Liver Circle is building. We're more than an organization; we're a vital connection between patients, advocates, and medical professionals. We elevate the conversation around liver health and organ donation from the ordinary to the extraordinary.

JOIN US! Our first TLC Cooking Live! show is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8th at 3 PM

MISSION
To educate and empower people about liver health by sharing lived experiences and amplifying the work of partner organizations.
VISION
A future where lived experience drives liver health education and every person affected by liver disease feels seen, supported, and empowered.
OUR APPROACH
Instead of reinventing the wheel, we are building a powerful hub—a central repository where lived experiences drive education and partnerships provide a comprehensive network of support.
We cut through the confusion and myths at a grassroots level, bringing crucial information directly to communities. We are the voice for our partners on the ground.
By partnering with existing organizations, we help advocates expand their reach and share their mission—no matter where they are.
